Hi, I’m Romina and I’m from Chile. I would absolutely recommend GEOS to other students studying English, I had a wonderful experience! All moments at GEOS were great and I liked so much being here. I meet so many friends and the teachers were very good —everyone always answered my questions! The team was very friendly at GEOS too, I went to Coit Tower with staff and it was so fun!

I also like that in GEOS I learned grammar. That was very important to me because now I have the ability to speak better to people. At GEOS I learned the theory and now I can apply it! I also love San Francisco, my favorite place is the Embarcadero. I also love Golden Gate Park and Golden Gate Bridge and Lombard street is beautiful. If I could describe GEOS in one word it would be ‘great’!

They are so kind and everyone was older than me, I was the youngest. I love that everyone is international. In San Francisco, oh my god I like everything. Golden Gate Park was my favorite because it's green and there's a lot of flower and it's a very good thing when you lie on the grass and talking with your friends. At GEOS of course my English improved! When I arrived I always switched past, present and future. Now I learned a lot of things. At home I couldn't understand reported speech. But Kensho teach me in one hour only, and I understand it. Of course I would recommend GEOS. I think my brothers will come next summer and maybe my school friends. My brothers for sure. Hi my name is Stefano and I am from Italy. What do I like most about GEOS? Can I answer everything? Everything is perfect really. Because I like San Francisco all the city, but I like the most Twin Peaks. You can see all the city from there. Coit Tower was really nice and Fisherman's Wharf too, but it's a tourist trap. I liked Golden Gate Bridge and Golden Gate Park and Castro was kind of particular but everything was nice. I will miss about GEOS school the classmates and the teachers. Yes of course I would recommend GEOS to another student. I really liked GEOS. We did lots of speaking, but also writing, vocabulary and grammar. Hello, my name is Guillem and I am from Spain. In my class at GEOS I like maybe all the things because the classmates are funny and the teachers are helpful for some problem maybe I had. The style of class is also funny.

In San Francisco I like most maybe the open mind of the people, maybe similar like Barcelona. It's cool to speak with another people with this open mind. And my other favorite thing was the Golden Gate Bridge. Haight Ashbury was my favorite neighborhood because it is much hippie and you can meet with crazy people when you are looking for interesting shops. I don't know, I think maybe at GEOS I will miss all the people and the helpful and happy ambiance. All the day, the staff and teachers are happy. Also with my friends, now with social networking I can still speak with my GEOS friends. It is different than 10 years ago.

Yes, of course I recommend GEOS to another student. My word to describe GEOS is 'amazing.'

Hi my name is Salta and I am from Kazakhstan. My class at GEOS was great. I love Justin's lessons. I think Justin was great because he really help me improve my English skills. He assigned so much homework but I think I needed this. It was very helpful to me. And of course Matt is great too. San Francisco is great. I like San Francisco library and San Francisco has a lot of beautiful places close by such as Yosemite. If GEOS future student will come in San Francisco with children I highly recommend go to the carousel in Yerba Buena. And I recommend children's Fairyland in Oakland too. I will miss GEOS and my old and new friends.

For me, it was important to move to level 4 class with students from level 3. We are a good group for study. First we had Justin. He is strict, but very good for us to learn English. I like to speak with Denise because Denise knows many things about the world. And Kensho is very serious about teaching, but he is also funny. I think I improve my English because before San Francisco I was an introvert. I was afraid to speak English and I did not speak. Here teachers get students to speak. Now I am more comfortable.

In San Francisco, the city is very fabulous. It is a crazy city. You can see many things, the ocean, the park, the streets. The city is very clean. In San Francisco I appreciate the people. Very, very friendly. People speak slowly when I say I am from France, they try to understand and to explain. It's a good city and I recommend this city to my friends.

I will miss my friends from GEOS because I met good persons from different countries. We can exchange about our cultures. I am forty-three and this is a particular part of my life. It is not real life, it is a vacation. When I come back to France I must work. I will miss it. My word to describe GEOS is: Family.

I've studied at GEOS for 24 weeks and it was a good experience. What I like about GEOS is the teachers, [especially] Matt. He's the best teacher I've ever seen in my life. I would recommend GEOS to my Turkish friends because there aren't [always] too many other Turkish students, the teachers are enthusiastic, and the staff is friendly. [Also], the classes were not crowded, so it's a better for learning English because the teachers can spend more time with each student. If I could pick one word to describe GEOS it would be "family".

I also had fun at GEOS; my most memorable activity the Air Trampoline [House of Air]. I also like San Francisco! I really like the general atmosphere of the city - it has a magical power, it makes people love it strongly.
My advice to other students is: Always talk with native speakers, read English books, watch movies, listen to English songs, never speak your own native language.
Thank you!

Hi, my name is Marta and I am from Spain. What I will miss most about GEOS is lunchtime and meeting everyone. And also the staff. In my TOEFL class I felt that I could improve really, really much my English. It was academic things, and there's a lot of things we use in real life. You see words on the news and in the paper and you can understand better when you read. And you have a goal, it is the TOEFL test.

In San Francisco I love the freedom. People are really open mind, that's what I really like. My favorite neighborhood is mine, in the Lower Haight. It's so quiet, but at the same time you have everything. You have a lot of bars, restaurants, shops and you can go everywhere just walking. There's Alamo Square and Duboce Park and everything.

Halloween was one of my favorite memories from GEOS. It was funny and I won the costume contest. We don't celebrate in Spain, so it was fun to do it. If I had to describe GEOS in one word, I would say "friendly".

Hello, my name is Dana and I am from Kazakhstan. I will miss all staff and teachers at GEOS. I can emphasize that TOEFL class was very significant for me because it was hard work. You should be diligent and you should spend more time than in the other levels. You will discover a lot of new academic words.

In San Francisco I like the good weather. San Francisco is a compact city and was convenient for me with good transportation. I experienced many places. I can recommend Fisherman's Wharf and I recommend if you have time to visit LA you should go to Universal Studios. Also when I went with Ali to Ghirardelli chocolate factory it was a good experience.

I noticed that GEOS is a school with diligent and persistent students because teachers will survey your skills in an individual way. They will always recognize your improvement, your abilities. When I think of GEOS, I think of the word "diligence." I would recommend this school to anyone!

I like the city of San Francisco because it's really clean. I like the people, the neighborhoods, everything. I think near Golden Gate Park is really beautiful. I really like it there.

I'm really going to miss this school. To Meredith, Ethan, Ali and the managers, thank you! You are doing an excellent job for GEOS, I hope to see you again.

I enjoyed my time at GEOS very much. I really like the way the GOES teachers, teach - they make classes interesting and fun. They do a variety of activities to keep students interested and you don't feel stress in the class or school, and this is a good thing! I really like San Francisco because you can see and do lots of cultural activities - especially the arts: drama's, plays, musicals. There is a lot to do. If I could describe GEOS in one word, it would be: comfortable, I would recommend GEOS to others! Also, my advice for other English learners is that you should expose yourself to the environment and always interact with native speakers.

Hi my name is Pedro and I am from Brazil. At GEOS I like so much the teachers and so much Denise's methods. She explain very kind. To me San Francisco is a very beautiful city and very easy to walk. Yesterday for example I visited Coit Tower, Lombard Street, Fisherman's Wharf, Civic Center and everything by walking. I think I walked about six kilometers! I prefer to stay near Saint Peter and Paul Church and Coit Tower. This place is good. All the house are beautiful and near everything. At GEOS I will miss my classmate and the teachers of course. They are the best contact I have to speak English with. I wish I had come with F-1 visa because I wanted to study more. My time at GEOS was good.

Hi my name is Ho Jung and I am from Korea. In GEOS class I have some special teacher. They teach grammar lesson so I can remember very easy. I think I improve my grammar skill. I can also speak correct sentence. All teacher is very good. Denise is so kind, she give me advice and something friendly. When I miss my mother and my country, I saw Denise. I overcome homesick in GEOS and it was very nice for me.

In San Francisco, the weather and museum is very fine. Some things are expensive except for the gym. The gym is cheap! After school I go to the gym and enjoy working out and watching TV. I practice English talking with friendly gym staff. Usually I walk from downtown to Japantown. It is very good because Japantown temple is similar to Korean temple. If I miss my country I go to Japantown.

At GEOS I will miss friendly staff and for me GEOS is not just academic school but also like a neighborhood. It is a community with friends. Even Sam (the security guard) is very friendly. I would recommend GEOS to my friends and family. GEOS has a lot of activities so you can learn English and enjoy activity. I remember to go eat pizza with GEOS students. When I stay in Korea, I have never seen a very big pizza. A piece of pizza here is the size of one whole pizza in my country! But it was very good for me because I love eating. If I had one word to describe GEOS, it would be "Friends."

Hi my name is Obie and I'm from Korea. I really like Matt's class. I learned lot of vocabulary and Matt tried to correct our pronunciation and wrong grammar. It was really good and he has a passion about teaching. Even though the time finished at eleven, when there is some stuff we didn't get to, he tried to teach it. We also got to practice listening and speaking a lot. The people in San Francisco are very kind and friendly. Here people don't have real discrimination. Everybody is kind to foreigners and it's really good, very open mind. I'm gonna miss everything : staff, teacher, classmate. The trampoline activity was really fun, but I was dizzy. Hi my name is Hideaki and I am from Japan. I like GEOS because I can conversation with so many people, so many partners and it is nice practice for me. There are so many internationals because of course it is a language school. We can talk about not only the studies but another culture. It's nice to learn about a foreign country's culture, it is very interesting. I meet so many friends. Actually I came here alone so I can make so many friends. People in San Francisco are very kind I think, very friendly. After terrible Japan earthquake and tsunami, people I met in restaurant and shopping so concerned for me. They asked me, "Are you ok?" People in San Francisco are very kind. I was impressed by that. In San Francisco, it's very difficult to have a favorite spot. I went to the basketball game and it went into overtime and people are so excited about that game. Finally Golden State won and people went, "Ahhhh!" It was my best memory in San Francisco. I can recommend to go to the GEOS. We can meet so many people. My word to describe GEOS is "fun".

Hello, my name is Nicolas and I am from France. I like San Francisco because the people are very friendly and very relaxed. And that is very good for my head and my heart. There were a lot of artists here and it is good for my job because I am a tattoo artist. The creativity of the different artists is really good for my imagination.
I improved my English at GEOS because of the teachers. Justin, Natalie and Matt are very good. They were very serious about teaching. The staff was very professional and serious about their job. I liked that. In GEOS Ethan told me that I can change my plans. I chose to study one-to-one but Ethan told me to try group class because of the communication. I am glad I did this because I made a good connection with other students and my speaking improved.
In just one month I made many things in San Francisco. I visited different scenery, made a tattoo, ate in a typical American restaurant and made new friends. I think I have so many memories in my head, it is possible for me to write a book! In San Francisco it's not possible to be bored.

I really like San Francisco and GEOS and my host family and classmate. Now I really want to live in San Francisco. San Francisco has many kinds of food and people is so kind and landscape is so interesting for me because landscape is beautiful. San Francisco is so convenient. If I want to go anywhere, I can go alone. I like my GEOS classmate and lessons. Coming to San Francisco the first week I could speak just two English words: "Ok" and "wow". But now GEOS has raised me up and I can speak my opinion and I can communicate with other people in English. But I want to study more. GEOS lesson is so good for me and so fun. If my friends come to San Francisco I really recommend GEOS because GEOS lesson really helped my English. Teacher and classmate is so friendly. Class is relaxing and interesting. I know I could learn ideas and other value and other culture through living and studying in San Francisco. For example at first time I was so nervous, but now I try something and I am not too nervous. I am more open to try new things. When I came here GEOS made me feel relieved and gave me many information.

When I was studying here, I didn't feel homesick. It was really my second home - that is how I would describe GEOS. I had the chance to talk with people, meet new people and make new friends. I will miss the teachers and the staff members because they were very friendly. It was a warm place to study and my favorite teachers are Matt and Denise! My favorite GEOS memory was going to Palace of Fine Arts because it was beautiful and my first time at the beach and going on an activity with my GEOS friends.
It was a great experience to study in TOEFL class because I could improve all the skills I need to maximize my TOEFL score. Any students who want to get a good score on the real TOEFL test need to take this class. I love the technique and strategy they taught me. But self study is still important.
Level 5 was a great opportunity to improve my speaking. I got to practice with native speakers. I would recommend level 5 for students who want to improve their speaking. Students need to improve their skills by practicing speaking inside and outside of school.

Hello, my name is Bilal and I am from Belgium. About GEOS, the teachers are very competent. They have a real willing to do better. I will remember jokes during the class, with the teachers and the students. I liked San Francisco because it is clean. I will miss the views, the beach, the Golden Gate Bridge. There are a lot of things to do here. My favorite neighborhood was downtown San Francisco because it is close to everything. If I had to describe GEOS in one word, it would be "productivity." For me productivity is the staff asking the students if everything is OK, asking if you want something else. There was a real willingness to help the students. I will miss the most my GEOS friends and Asian food. My advice to other students is to come here for a long time. 4 weeks was too short.

Hello I'm Abdullah,
My most memorable moment at GEOS was ice skating - it was the first time I had been ice skating and it was outstanding! Also, what I like about GEOS is the school system: the staff was very friendly and open to talk to, the teaching style of teachers and how the teachers made the class enjoyable.
There are many things I like about San Francisco - lots of things to do: Golden Gate Park, North Beach, etc. I tried bungee jumping off the Golden Gate bridge and it was amazing, a unique feeling. My favorite part of San Francisco is Fisherman's Wharf because its beautiful and good for sightseeing. There are also many events there.

I really enjoyed my time at GEOS San Francisco. I like San Francisco because there is no winter and I like the tourist things - there always lots of things to do here.
My most memorable experience at GEOS was the Halloween party and Christmas party - the Halloween party was really fun because we don't celebrate Halloween in France and the Christmas party was really nice because the atmosphere was very comfortable - like a family. I really like GEOS' location and teachers. Meeting everyone [was great] - my class had people from all over the world so it was very interesting spending time with them. I also think I am better prepared for the TOEFL exam because I didn't know anything about it before I came to GEOS. One word to describe GEOS is 'friendly' and I would definitely recommend to my friends.

I very much enjoyed my time here [at GEOS]. Everything was very memorable - I guess Halloween was my most interesting memory, we don't do anything like that in Saudi Arabia! What I like about GEOS is that because its small, the teachers can focus on the students more. The teachers were very helpful - actually so was everyone so I spent a really good time here.
I also like San Francisco, it's a beautiful city. There's lots to do and its very convenient - but actually that is bad thing too because its distracting me from my studies! Coming here to San Francisco, I have now experienced how to do everything on my own, which I didn't get to do in back home so it has been a really good experience for me.
If there was one word to describe GEOS it would be comfortable - I felt very comfortable here.

Hi I'm Nana! I like GEOS because my classes were very good - Matt is a good teacher! I also mixed my culture with other students so I could learn other countries cultures - it was very interesting.
I also love my GEOS Homestay! My host family was very friendly and guided my to a lot of places, my favorite memories are visiting places with them. My GEOS host family also helped me - if I can't understand they help explain to me. They always help my pronunciation too! I would recommend GEOS school and recommend students do homestay!

"Dear Ms. Ali Martinez,
Hope you are all doing well.
It is very kind of you to send me the testimonial and the newsletter. It is so supprising. All your responses to me proved that your good school is really professional and our decision to send Nam to your school was so right.
I heard from Nam and Linh and Linh's dad that they really enjoyed the time with GEOS. Nam and Linh have improved so much with his English and also been more confident to start their course in Idaho. The English course at GEOS really works and we highly appreciate your supports all the time. Though Nam and Linh has finished their study with you, GEOS will surely remain in our mind whenever we recall the memory of Nam's first days in US.
Once again, thank you very much, GEOS, for you kind supports.
Sincerely,

Hello, my name is Nouf. I'm from Saudi Arabia. I've studied at GEOS for 3 months. Now I'm leaving with pleasant memories. I liked GEOS because it was a small school. We all knew each other, and became friends easily. While I was studying at GEOS, we had a baby shower for one of our friends. I'll never forget this because it was really special for her and we were like family. It was nice to do something like that for someone. Besides this, there were many activities at GEOS. Also, students were very active. It was always exciting to study at GEOS.

Hi, my name is Hyewon from Korea. I've studied at GEOS for about 8 months. There were many activities at GEOS, and I had a lot of fun. The most memorable event for me was carving pumpkins on Halloween. I carved pumpkins with my new friends from many different countries. It was really enjoyable.
One thing that I really liked about GEOS was that the teachers and staff were very friendly. It made me felt comfortable, so I could focus on my study.
Concerning studying English, I think making friends with native speakers is helpful to improve your English.

My first day at GEOS is my best memory because it was very exciting for me. I like the atmosphere here - it is good for me because there are many different nationalities so I must always speak English. The teachers and staff are also very professional and well prepared. I also love San Francisco because it is an exciting fusion of cultures. It is a great place for international students because there is no strong accent like other parts of the US so its easy to understand people here and there are lots of different, interesting people.
[One word] to describe GEOS is 'funny', this is because of the good atmosphere. Atmosphere is important for students to feel comfortable. I came to GEOS San Francisco because it was recommended to me, and now I will recommend it to others!

I enjoyed GEOS very much. I met very good people and I liked the teachers a lot, they were very well-prepared. I came here to improve my English and my TOEFL score, especially my speaking and writing. I learned a lot in class and think my score will improve because I leanred how to take the test, and how the test works, which is good. I also love San Francisco, I love the foggy weather, [neighborhoods like] the Mission District and the cities' culture. San Francisco is a good place to study because its an open-minded and progressive city and the people are cool and outgoing. I also recommend GEOS because the teachers are great and they helped me improve my skills.

What I like about GEOS is the teachers, staff, and friends I made here. My English improved a lot and I feel more confident. I was also impressed by GEOS activities like our trip to Silicon Valley. I like San Francisco- its views and public transportation are good and the city is small which is good for students because we can get around easily and don't need a car like other U.S. cities. Also there's a lot of great festivals, cultures and lifestyles to experience here.

I recommend GEOS because of the great environment and the English Only policy, which is good for students. Also, study hard, don't be shy and don't be absent!

What I like about GEOS is the passionate teachers and students. GEOS provided me with a small class so I could get involved in my studies, but they also have fun extra-curricular activties too. My most memorable moment at GEOS was our trip to Silicon Valley becaue I experienced someitng different that I've never done before. San Francisco is also a good place to study ESL because of its good public transportation and the city has lots of beautiful places to visit, like the Golden Gate Bridge. One word to describe GEOS is 'fabulous' and there is no doubt that I would recommend GEOS San Francisco more than other schools because of the small classes and passionate teachers and students. My advice to other students: the most important thing is effort and speak only English!

I spent 3 months at GEOS it was the best time in my life I learned a lot.

I was excited about coming to U.S.A but I was a little worried about the people I am going to meet even though I knew that the Americans are cooperative and friendly as I have visited U.S.A several times. All my worries vanished the first day I came to GEOS, the warm welcome made me feel at home.

At GEOS I really felt that every moment counts and adds to the improvement of my English language. They didn't just concentrate on teaching language in class but we enjoyed learning English in many different ways inside and outside the classroom.

I thank the administrator of GEOS I thank my teachers who motivate us and spent a lot of time and effort they was always there for us even when I left they are always there thank you.

I am lucky that I was student in GEOS.

Hi, my name is Shane. I was so glad to be Student of the Month in March. I've been GEOS for four months. At the beginning, I was afraid to speak English and unfamiliar with everything in United States. Thanks to Matt and all teachers at GEOS have helped and encouraged me to learn English. Even though my English is not the best, I think my English has improved a lot because I can understand native speakers speak in most of the time and comprehend articles in newspapers. Also, here I've met many nice friends who are from different countries. I really treasure our friendships and leaning English at GEOS which has a friendly atmosphere!

Hello everyone, I'm Hayley from Seoul South Korea. At GEOS, I've been taking a TOEFL class for 11 weeks. Before coming to San Francisco, I took the TOEFL exam, but I wasn't happy with my score and I wanted to learn English in the USA. Fortunately, after I came to GEOS I met two great teachers - Matt and Marc. They always try to teach better and make our class understand easier. In fact, I just learned lots of English words by heart! Matt and Marc also tell me when I use words wrong and this is very helpful for me.

The reason I chose San Francisco is that I can go see beaches anytime. I go to Pier 14 when I need to think and it has awesome scenery! Furthermore, while staying in SF, I've experienced many different things suchs as getting along with friends from other countries, enjoying festivals, and trying new foreign dishes!

I really appreciate all teachers and staff at GEOS. Finally I want everyone to enjoy living in San Francisco, studying English and challenging everything!

Hi, my name is Mize and I'm from Thailand. I was studying at GEOS for 3 months and just finished recently. At the beginning, I was in Level 5. And then, I moved to TOEFL class. I improved a lot on my TOEFL skills and I learned a lot about TOEFL techniques. I love the atmosphere in our class. I met new friends from all around the worlds, Korea, Japan, French, China, and Turkey. And because of an activity and workshop, I can made friends with someone who wasn't in my class. So, I had a really great time while I studied at GEOS San Francisco. I'll remember all of the great memories that teachers, staffs and friends gave me. And even I had finished we all still get in touch. Isn't that great?

I am always comfortable spending time at home. My homestay family always spoke to me in English. When I had to go to the place near by school early morning to travel, my host-father took me by car. When I got sick, I told my host-mother so she gave medicine to me. And on my birthday she made a big chocolate cake for us. They celebrated my birthday. I was really glad. And the dog (coco) was so cute! I had fun.

GEOS San Francisco is my first school to learn English in another country. When I came to San Francisco, I thought "I'm a lucky guy", because this city is very beautiful. GEOS is a very good school for learning English. My first teacher was Joe. He is a comedian. So always we were laughing at Joe's jokes at the class. This is very important. I think if you want to learn something you must enjoy it. So Joe made me like English at GEOS.
