Having internship experience in the U.S. will give you more confidence in the work environment. Not only will you improve your English but will also gain valuable work experience. GEOS offers two types of internships: F-1 internship and J-1 internship. Both internship programs have positions available in a variety of industries such as: book trade, manufacturing, trade, the retail industry, IT, restaurant businesses, etc.
F-1 internship
This program is appropriate to people who want to focus on improving their English.
Students are required to enroll at GEOS English program for a minimum of four weeks to participate in our internship program. After the end of the GEOS course, they are eligible to apply to the GEOS Internship program. The maximum length of F-I internship is sixty days. The positions are unpaid since this program is under F-1 Visa status.
J-1 internship
This program is designed for applicants who want to focus on gaining work experience who already have high intermediate to advance English. However, the program is not limited to advanced English speakers. Those with lower English skills are highly recommended to enroll at GEOS Intensive English course. Most host companies require applicants to be proficient in English. We provide paid positions; however, it is highly likely that positions that are in higher demand, such as publishing, may not be paid. Also, it is important to be aware that the first three months for all positions could be unpaid.

* Program fees include free consultations and all services needed to place a student with a company.

NOTE: All of the internships do not include the SEVIS fee ($180), U.S. Embassy appointment fee (fee differs depending on the country), and health insurance coverage fees (optional but recommended: $50/month).
